The groundbreaking ceremony for the Malagas Hydropower Station was successfully completed
On September 19th local time, Tanzania’s Deputy Prime Minister Doto Mashaka Biteko attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the Maragarasi Hydropower Station (Maragarasi HPP) EPC project. The Maragarasi Hydropower Station is located in Kigoma District and is a run-of-the-river development. The power station has an installed capacity of 49.5 MW and is equipped with a camp and access roads, all designed by the Qingyuan Company.
Once the power station project is completed, it will effectively alleviate the power grid pressure in the Kigoma region, improve the reliability of power supply, meet the growing power demand of the local area, and promote local economic development. Qingyuan Company will carry forward its core values of “customer first, high efficiency and excellence, teamwork, innovation, and pioneering contribution,” actively participate in the construction of hydropower projects in Tanzania and overseas, and enhance its corporate image with international influence.
