The overseas training for the owners of the Tanzania Malagarasi Power Station successfully concludes

On December 13, 2024, the overseas training for the owners of the Malagarasi Hydropower Plant (Malagarasi HPP), undertaken by  Qingyuan Engineering Consulting Co., Ltd. (QYEC), successfully concluded in Chengdu. The power station is a turnkey project by Dongfang Electric (DEC) financed with a loan from the African Development Bank (AfDB). This training was conducted in accordance with the employer’s requirements, aiming to enhance the owners’ professional capabilities in hydropower station design and project management, in order to better adapt to the demands and development of international hydropower engineering.

The participating owner (TANESCO) expressed high praise and gratitude for the training services provided by Qingyuan Company. They also fully affirmed and recognized the capabilities related to the design, construction, operation, and management of Chinese hydropower stations. At the same time, they hoped to strengthen continuous cooperation with Dongfang Electric and Qingyuan Company on future hydropower, photovoltaic, and other energy projects through the smooth implementation of the Malagarasi Power Station, contributing to the sustained growth of Chinese hydropower in the African market.

       Qingyuan Company will continue to provide high-quality hydropower station design and training services through the Malagarasi project, helping more overseas owners enhance their professional knowledge and capabilities, and promoting the smooth progress of international hydropower engineering.
