The Phase III Photovoltaic Power Generation Project in Boxi, Zhaojue County, Liangshan Prefecture has commenced construction

The project is located in Tikouzeluo Village, Zelou Town, Zhaojue County, Liangshan Prefecture, Sichuan Province, with an elevation ranging from 2,755 meters to 3,278 meters above sea level. It was designed by Sichuan Qingyuan Engineering Consulting Co., Ltd. and is being developed by China Huadian New Energy Co., Ltd., with a total investment of RMB 3,617.824 million (approximately RMB 3.62 billion).

The project utilizes 620 Wp monocrystalline bifacial double-glass photovoltaic modules and employs a fixed-tilt mounting system. The grid-connected inverters selected are 300 kW string inverters, with a DC-to-AC capacity ratio (inverter loading ratio) of 1.273. The total installed DC capacity is 127.30088 MW, while the AC-side capacity is 100 MW.The main construction components include:Photovoltaic array fields,35 kV fully underground collector cables, and Grounding network systems.

Upon completion, the project will efficiently harness solar energy to generate clean electricity, providing strong support for achieving China’s "dual carbon" goals (carbon peak and carbon neutrality) and meeting the binding target of a 17% cumulative reduction in CO₂ emissions per unit of GDP during the Fifteenth Five-Year Plan (2026–2030) period. Moreover, it will accelerate the energy transition in high-altitude regions and help preserve the area’s pristine natural environment—safeguarding its lush mountains and clear waters for future generations.
