Established in 1995, QingYuan Engineering Consultants(QYEC) has been a devoted and leading player in the extensive field of hydropower, water conservancy, irrigations, new renewable energy generation and water environment rehabilitations. Business
Energy and Electricity
In terms of hydropower, a total of approximately 45 hydropower stations have been designed and put into operation with a total installed capacity of about 5,200 MW. There are 4 projects under construction with a total installed capacity of about 1,000 MW, and more than 10 projects are in the preliminary stage with a total installed capacity of about 2,200 MW. In the field of new energy, we have actively participated in wind, solar, and energy storage projects. We have completed 9 photovoltaic feasibility studies and participated in 5 EPC turnkey projects with a total capacity of 997 MW (3 completed in 2023, 2 completed in 2024). We have also participated in the preliminary work of several energy storage projects. We have completed the design of several 10kV and 35kV transmission and distribution projects and have designed multiple Centralized Control Center projects.
Water Environment
We have undertaken medium-sized water conservancy projects such as the Mayihe Water Conservancy Project, the Youfanggou Reservoir Project, and the Liujiagongqiao Water Conservancy Project. We have completed nearly 20 water resource demonstration reports for hydropower stations, among which the reports for the Hanniuhe and Geda project were rated as excellent by the Sichuan Provincial Water Resources Department. The company’s land requisition and resettlement department has successively completed physical indicator surveys, resettlement planning outlines, and resettlement planning reports for more than 10 medium-sized hydropower stations such as Xigu, Taka, Xieka, and Hanniuhe, and the design results have received praise from peers and relevant authorities. We have also completed more than 10 environmental impact assessment (EIA) projects, mainly involving water conservancy and hydropower projects, with rich experience in EIA work. The EIA documents have been well praised by the industry and relevant authorities.
Infrastructure Construction
Our company's infrastructure scope covers the survey, design, investment, management, and operation of infrastructure such as roads, bridges, and hydropower bases. In recent years, we have completed the design, investment, and management of various projects, including dispatch centralized control centers, production centralized control centers, production bases, and company camps for multiple hydropower stations.
Overseas Business
In the international market, our company has provided preliminary technical assessments, investment evaluations, feasibility studies, design surveys, EPC bidding, and other survey, design, and consulting services for well-known domestic and international clients from South America, Central America, Africa, South Asia, Central Asia, and Eastern Europe. Before 2016, we mainly undertook and completed the feasibility studies for the Santa Cruze hydropower station in Ecuador, South America, and the first and second hydropower stations on the Nam Theun River in Laos, South Asia. We were also fully involved in the PC project for the Sopladora hydropower station in Ecuador, completed by the Gezhouba Group (installed capacity of 488MW, completed in 2016). Subsequently, we took a technical lead role and collaborated with Sichuan Investment Group to jointly invest in the development of three hydropower projects on Marsyangdi River in Nepal (with a total installed capacity of approximately 600MW) and undertook the preliminary planning and feasibility design work. The first cascade hydropower station began construction in 2024. In 2024, we were engaged in the EPC contract for Malagarasi HPP(49.5MW) in Tanzania.
Investment & Development
Our company has invested in and taken responsibility for the design of multiple EPC projects, including Subagou Hydropower Station, Yangfanggou Hydropower Station, Mingli Hydropower Station, Baishuihe Hydropower Station, Shanshuping Hydropower Station, Hongba Tailwater Hydropower Station, Zhengyuan Hydropower Station, and Longyuan Hydropower Station. In partnership with Sichuan Investment Group, our company has invested in the Marsyangdi Hydropower Projects in Nepal, which has a total installed capacity of 600MW and a shareholding ratio of 12%. To date, we have cumulatively invested over 7 million USD in this project.
